Let’s fix our eyes upon Jesus

The author of our faith

Through love is how He sees us

To obey Him is the way

Let’s fix our eyes upon Jesus

A call on our life He placed

The cross is how He freed us

We respond to His call in faith

Let’s fix our eyes upon Jesus

His grace we could never earn

He said He would never leave us

Through trials is how we learn

Let’s fix our eyes upon Jesus

Our ways we must count the cost

His love is what frees us

When He died upon the cross

Let’s fix our eyes upon Jesus

His ways we must learn to obey

His love is how He sees us

When we trust Him all the way

Hebrews 12:1-2

Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses,

lay aside every weight, and sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with

patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter

of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising

shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Blessed Be Your Name

Lord, I’ve made my share of mistakes

For granted, You, I never want to take

You are the Rock, in which I stand

I know You will lead me to the promise land

I’ve lived in the desert way too long

Help me to sing Your glorious song

Lead me on the path, of the everlasting way

Help me to walk with You and not sway

It’s in You, that I put my trust

Faith in You, for me is a must

You open my eyes when I am blind

It’s Your Truth, that I hope to find

Your faithful, this I know

Your grace, is what I want to show

You search and find me when I’m lost

My ways, I must count the cost

It’s a white flag, that I raise

To You is who I sing praise

Blessed be Your name

You’ll never change, You’ll always be the same

For most of my life I hadn’t a care

I wore a mean mask that put on a scare

I was guided by the bondage of fear

That developed over many a year

Hardship and heartache led to choices that were flawed

Leading me to wonder, is there a God

Pushing thru life without any rest

My choices and decisions were skewed at best

Toiling and turning was the event of the day

Always leaving me to wonder is there another way

Sobering up I got squeaky clean

But never got rid of the mask that was mean

It wasn’t until I invited Him in

That I was freed from the bondage of sin

What I received was forgiveness and grace

That day on the cross Christ took my place

I’m a new creation the old life is gone

This new life I live with no mask on
