ISAIAH 53:3-6

3) He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering, Like one from whom men hide their faces, he was despised, and we esteemed him not. (4) Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him and afflicted. (5) But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. (6) We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us have turned to his own way;  and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

He was despised and rejected by men

For most they thought they didn’t have sin

A man of sorrows, familiar with suffering

The pain, He knew nothing will be buffering

Like one from whom men hide their faces

One day He will be the judge of their cases

He was despised and we esteemed Him not

To sentence Him to die was their only plot

Surely He took up our infirmities

Knowing this was not an adversity

He even carried our sorrows

Our penalty is Paid not borrowed

Yet we considered Him stricken by God

The only One that deserves to be awed

Smitten by Him and afflicted

Our sin is why He was convicted

He was pierced for our transgressions

His punishment left a lasting impression

He was crushed for our iniquities

He went to the cross obediently

The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him

He was sacrificed as the Holy Lamb

By His wounds we are healed

And with the Holy Spirit we are sealed

We all like sheep have gone astray

Each of us have turned to his own way

The Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all

From the end to the beginning called the fall

Stumbles and Skinned Knees

These I seem to do with ease

When I sin is when I stumble

I ask WHY as I mumble

I hear a voice softly say

Turn from sin just turn away

And again I ask HOW

Put your trust in Christ now

How do I learn to trust

Put faith in Christ this is a must

Skinned knees OH how they hurt

As my tears soak my shirt

I ask myself why do I have tears

It’s simple because of my fears

This walk seems so hard

With sin I have to be on guard

I ask for strength when I stumble

I do this in a Prayer not a mumble

When nothing will stop the pain

Turn your hurts into harvests

In time it will relieve the darkness

Harvests WHAT might you ask

To do the work of God is our task

HOW when you’re in pain

It’s like nothing will stop the rain

There’s just tears and great despair

You question God, does He hear your prayer

And ask again is He even there

You find someone, and feel led to share

You find others that you can tell

How this hurt seemed like the pit of hell

Before you know it God eases your pain

And your sharing slows down the rain

You give this hurt to Christ your Lord

It’s what you learned from Gods Word

Then Gods work stops the rain

And you see Harvests instead of pain

You change you life by changing your heart

Oh how do I begin, Oh where do I start

At first I prayed and asked God if He exists

Please reveal yourself , help me not to resist

I then asked Jesus to come into my heart

This was my marvelous start

My next step was to in faith believe

Jesus is the Son of God and that I do not weave

I then believed He was raised from the dead

For me and you His Blood was shed

Next, was for me to confess my sins

That’s when I believe forgiveness begins

As Jesus began to change my heart

Turning away from sin I began to start

I now ask Christ for strength to repent

The strength comes from the Holy Spirit sent

I now believe a changed life is a choice

That’s all because I obeyed Gods voice

The Man Who Trusts In The Lord Is Blessed

The man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence indeed is the Lord, is blessed. He will be like a tree planted by water: it sends its roots toward a stream, it doesn’t fear when heat comes, and its foliage remains green, it will not worry in a year of drought or cease producing fruit.

The man who trusts in the Lord is blessed

Whose confidence is the Lord won’t get stressed

He will be like a tree planted by water

It will never go dry or be avoided by the Potter

It sends its roots out toward a stream

Though their path at times seem extreme

It doesn’t fear when heat comes

It doesn’t worry about what it becomes

Its foliage remains green

As it awaits for Light from sunbeams

It won’t worry in a year of drought

Whether or not when rains come it won’t doubt

Or cease producing fruit

It trusts in the Lord and that it imputes

So the devil knows his fate

For your soul he just waits

Just waiting for you to fall

Hoping for the Lord you won’t call

He just waits to steal your heart

So he can rip your life apart

Causing you to stumble and sin

To shred your life from within

I have to let you know one thing

It is not just the devil that stings

We are born into sin so you know

It is the devil that tempts you though

He comes to destroy your walk

So it looks like you just talk

It is not just your soul he steals

He wants your heart so you won’t feel

Why is your heart so important

So Gods ways will be unimportant

Next he comes to kill all life

So you’ll be filled with nothing but strife

His aim is to separate you from Christ

The devil wants to be your tryst

Is there a solution for all this mess

Let Christ be your Lord and nothing less
