Up Against A Wall

When struggles arise where shall I turn

I lean on Gods Spirit or my desires will churn

It’s His Holy Spirit that is my defense

Whether up against a wall or backed into a fence

He is the strength that carries me thru

When my thoughts run rampant and are askew

He provides freedom from the bondage of sin

Thank God for His Spirit who now lives within

I’m now a disciple and try to follow Gods Word

It’s His message of grace, I hope you have heard

Jesus came from heaven to walk with mankind

He came to save souls and to leave no one behind

He walked as a man for three and a half years

To tell His message of grace for all that will hear

He was the ransom for sin and died on the cross

To save me and you and all who are lost

Now walk in the Spirit and walk in His ways

Stay on Gods path and try not to stray

Be the new creature that you have become

Watch your evil desires and do not succumb

Life following Jesus is better you see

Submit to God, resist the devil and he’ll flee

James 4:7

The Lord Is With Me Wherever I Go

The Lord is with me wherever I go

Whether wading thru water, quicksand or snow

No matter the valley, no matter the peak

My Lord words are true, for it’s me He will seek

 

There’s been a time or two where I’ve strayed away

Then found myself lost with nowhere to stay

These are the times that I thought are so rough

These are the times when I’ve tried to be tough

 

These are the time where I saw no way out

These are the times I did nothing but doubt

My Lord extended mercy, for He extended me grace

For He gave me all I need to run this very race

 

He even reached down to take my little hand

To lead me across the river into the promise land

My Lord will go before me where ever I go

For He will never leave me for this I now know

Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Love Came Down

Love came from heaven to walk the earth

It was all who’s lost He came to search

 

He was beaten bloody, bruised black and blue

Hung on the cross meant for me and you

 

It is His message that changes our heart

It is His Spirit that He imparts

 

It’s His grace that’s free for all

A response is needed with the call

 

A new creation is what we are

He set the standard, He raised the bar

 

Our walk with Christ is paramount

It is the cost that we must count

 

A humble heart is our goal

We belong now to God’s fold

 

It’s His grace we can’t earn

For this is the message we must learn

 

If you’re broken or lost or can’t find your way

Jesus is the answer for everyday

Christ Will Meet You Where You’re At

Sin had a debt that had to be paid in full

So that you can have life, oh what a jewel

 

Christ paid the debt of all that was due

There is nothing required of me or of you

 

There is nothing you can add to His unfailing grace

Christ’ gave us all that we need for this race

 

Mercy and grace is provided by God

Man can’t do a thing all because he’s flawed

 

No amount of works can take the place of grace

We have to put trust in Christ, grace come thru faith

 

I hope that you know there’s a call on your life

Put your trust in God and reach out to Christ

 

God put Christ on the cross so you can have His grace

It’s the gift of God, will you join us in this race

 

You don’t have to wear no fancy clothes or a shiny hat

Put your faith in Christ, He’ll meet you were you’re at

One Look

We are told to turn and run from lust

One look can take away all our trust

One look is never just one look

You sneak another and that’s all it took

One look has you captured by surprise

You never look into their eyes

One look inhabits the pleasure zone

Which in the end leaves you all alone

You’re captured by an adrenaline rush

Which turns your reality into mush

One look will cause you to sneak around

When in full bloom has you bound

One look gets you all aroused

Before you know it has you soused

One look has deception whispering in your ears

Then tells you lies that turn into tears

One look has you in chains of selfishness

Then has you blind and saying To Hell With This

One look will rob you of your family

Which will have you chained to calamity

But there is someone who can free you of these chains

Turn to Jesus and hand over the reins

Submit to God resist the devil and he will flee

When you submit to God He’ll be all you’ll see

Forever By My Side

There’s nothing in this world that I can hide

Although my feelings are lost and stuck deep down inside

They try and surface, I refuse to let them show

I keep on running so they never ever grow

It is fear that wants to shine

But I cover up with I am fine

Next is hurt, it wants to come out with a blast

I try to hide it so you’ll never ever see my past

Then out comes shame, oh how I can never let you see

All the things that are locked deep down inside of me

Oh its worry that tries to raise its ugly head

All’s I can say is nough said

I try to hide behind oh how I am tough

Will I ever shut my mouth, cause I’ve said enough

They keep coming out, will they ever stop

It’s like a shook bottle spewing out the top

You never intended for me to have to hide

All the abuse and things locked deep down inside

It was You on the Cross who died for me

Your Blood was spilled to set me free

You set me free so now, for You, I can live

It’s to You, my heart, I want to give

You saved me from the things I no longer have to hide

All because Your Spirit came to live inside

You are my strength, You are my guide

It is You that is forever by my side

To All Who Are Lost and Broken

The wind is blowing strong and fierce

Could this be a sign of how Gods Word can pierce

It penetrates the heart both deep and wide

The conviction reaches my hearts insides

As it reaches depths unknown to me

BAM!! Snaps a chain Christ sets me free

One by one strongholds break

In their skin demons quake

God’s Word is what must be spoken

To all who are lost and all who are broken

It’s my life I know must change

My motives are what needs rearranged

As I put God’s Word inside

It’s my sin I no longer can hide

As I put my trust in God

I lean on Christ not my flaws

So open your heart, open your ears

It’s the message of Christ I pray that you hear

I pray that His Word will penetrate your heart

So In Christ you’ll have a new start

Voices In My Ear

Voices In My Ear

It’s yet early in the morning and I’m wide awake
If I make the wrong choices my integrity’s at stake
As I sit at my computer I ponder with what to write
I hear a voice whispering come and look at my site
No one will know what do I have to loose
This voice keeps whispering let me help you choose
Everyone’s asleep now no one will know
I forget about the history that my computer will show
It will be my little secret who is it going to hurt
The voice keeps whispering come and look at this dirt
This voice keeps whispering come and take a peek
It’s pleasure that we’re after as we play hide and seek
I hear a softer voice whispering in my ear
Open up My Word it’s Me that you draw near
I now have two choices which one will I choose
If I make the wrong choice it’s more than integrity that I loose
Porn is an addiction and it’s very real
It’s more than joy that satan comes to steal
There’s a slew of problems that porn can start
Separation with God and a broken heart
Porn causes more problems not to mention shame
But we can have true victory in Jesus’ name

I bear my soul and a true struggle that I have with you, in hopes that if there are any of you men or women that struggle with pornography that there is hope, healing and restoration through the Cross, the Blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. The hope that I have I found I found through a program called Celebrate Recovery. CR is tool that God uses to lead the broken to victory through Jesus Christ.

Christ Showed Me The Way

When will this paranoia come to an end
I feel like a child all over again

All the abuse I endured as a child
Helped me decide to live like I was wild

As I grew older it was hard to mature
I sought sin and drugs as to an end to a cure

Sin was the way I hid my disgrace
Secrets and shame was but only a face

I had no remorse my friend was my guilt
Lies and deceit was what was being built

Until that day when I wanted to die
It was all I could do to stop believing the lies

I was all alone a lost sheep in the crowd
Hiding behind fear Christ’s voice I heard loud

He told me to drop all the guilt and the shame
Run into His arms and believe in His Name

To believe in His Name is that what I have to do
Believe He’s the Son of God for this I know is true

Now I have a family I belong to the Way
In His Loving arms is where I want to stay

He guides me and protects me He is my God
He is my Healer even though I am flawed

Even though I’m flawed I run into His Arms
He is my Refuge even when I’m harmed

Christ is my Lord I love Him more each day
It’s all because He loved me and showed me the way
