Lost In Dakness

High on a mountain what do I see

A world of temptation staring at me

The song it sings is take a big bite

The sin it caused started a fight

The battle is now on it’s a raging war

Good is the winner I strongly implore

Evil is right there right in my face

God is right there providing me grace

The battle I know I have to endure

My strength is from God I know this for sure

Why do I stress, why do I worry

Why do I get in such a big hurry

God is my strength to walk in this race

For He is the only one that provideth me grace

The beginning of time was the start of this fight

When lost in darkness look to Jesus for light

Up Against A Wall

Up Against A Wall

When struggles arise where shall I turn

I lean on Gods Spirit or my desires will churn

It’s His Holy Spirit that is my defense

Whether up against a wall or backed into a fence

He is the strength that carries me thru

When my thoughts run rampant and are askew

He provides freedom from the bondage of sin

Thank God for His Spirit who now lives within

I’m now a disciple and try to follow Gods Word

It’s His message of grace, I hope you have heard

Jesus came from heaven to walk with mankind

He came to save souls and to leave no one behind

He walked as a man for three and a half years

To tell His message of grace for all that will hear

He was the ransom for sin and died on the cross

To save me and you and all who are lost

Now walk in the Spirit and walk in His ways

Stay on Gods path and try not to stray

Be the new creature that you have become

Watch your evil desires and do not succumb

Life following Jesus is better you see

Submit to God, resist the devil and he’ll flee

James 4:7

A Mountain Called Calvary

 

We know Jesus came from heaven for we’ll see Him face to face

It is His power that he gives us to run this very race

 

It’s all because of mercy, His grace He freely gives

It’s only thru the cross we learn how to live

 

His commands are a guiding force for us to obey

It is His path we walk and learn to not stray

 

His Truth is what frees us from our death and sin

His Spirit is who draws us then comes to live within

 

His grace He freely offers for all who want to partake

It is chains of unforgiveness that He wants to break

 

It’s our heart He wants to change from the inside out

It’s our faith wants to increase so we never have to doubt

 

Jesus is our teacher for He wants us to learn

That grace is a gift that we can never earn

 

Jesus paid the ransom by hanging on the tree

He hung on the mountain called Calvary

The Lord Is With Me Wherever I Go

The Lord is with me wherever I go

Whether wading thru water, quicksand or snow

No matter the valley, no matter the peak

My Lord words are true, for it’s me He will seek

 

There’s been a time or two where I’ve strayed away

Then found myself lost with nowhere to stay

These are the times that I thought are so rough

These are the times when I’ve tried to be tough

 

These are the time where I saw no way out

These are the times I did nothing but doubt

My Lord extended mercy, for He extended me grace

For He gave me all I need to run this very race

 

He even reached down to take my little hand

To lead me across the river into the promise land

My Lord will go before me where ever I go

For He will never leave me for this I now know

Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Love Came Down

Love came from heaven to walk the earth

It was all who’s lost He came to search

 

He was beaten bloody, bruised black and blue

Hung on the cross meant for me and you

 

It is His message that changes our heart

It is His Spirit that He imparts

 

It’s His grace that’s free for all

A response is needed with the call

 

A new creation is what we are

He set the standard, He raised the bar

 

Our walk with Christ is paramount

It is the cost that we must count

 

A humble heart is our goal

We belong now to God’s fold

 

It’s His grace we can’t earn

For this is the message we must learn

 

If you’re broken or lost or can’t find your way

Jesus is the answer for everyday

We Come To The Alter

We come to the alter

Where God’s arms are open wide

He’s gifted us with love

Thru His sacrificial life

 

We come to the cross

Where He’s the source of our rest

He is our strength

When facing all of life’s test

 

It’s in His presence

That we all desire to be

We walk by the Spirit

We are forgiven and free

 

We come to the alter

Where His yoke is lite

It’s thru His blood

We have union with the Light

 

We come to the cross

For the source of life it brings

We will lift up our voice

With praises we will sing

Your Grace Is Never Ending

Your love is like an ocean

Running the depths of the seas

Water all around me

It’s me You will never leave

Your grace is never ending

Reaching throughout the stars

It changed my evil heart

It healed my deepest scars

You died to give me freedom

From death caused by sin

It’s forgiveness that You offer

Now Your Spirit lives within

Your Word is my refuge

From the voices and the lies

If it wasn’t for Your mercy

I would forever die

The cross was meant to save me

That’s the hope that I must live

I bring my burdens to the alter

For the freedom my Savior gives

Your salvation is my joy

A servants heart I bring

You are my Lord and Savior

Now praises I’ll forever sing
