His Love

His Love

Jesus’ love protected me

From dying on that cursed tree

It is His love that guides my faith

Thru trying times that can’t be waived

His love is what gives me peace

When I carry my burdens to the tree

It is His love that made a way

To be called and then He sealed my fate

His love is faithful, kind and true

It fell on me like morning dew

It is His love that changed my heart

I now have light and not always dark

His love is what brings salvation

His message must go to the nations

It’s His love that’s why I serve

His Word I never have to swerve

His love is what I love the most

I Love you child says the Lord of Host

On This Christmas Day

It’s early in the morning

On Christmas Day

He came as a babe

To show us the way

He was born of a virgin

In the line of a king

Salvation He brought

Forever praises we’ll sing

He came with a message

His Word we must heed

Repentance is the answer

Then we must follow His lead

He’s our Savior and Guide

He will show us the way

Will you put faith in our Jesus

On this Christmas Day

He’ll lead you and love you

His wrath you’ll escape

In the image of Jesus

Your life He will shape

He hung on the cross

Then rose on day three

His blood ran down

That old rugged tree

If you are broken and lost

You can’t find your way

Put your faith in Jesus

On This Christmas Day

Love Is the Way

When resentment enters

It finds a way

To harden your heart

With its wants to stay

There’s a better fix

That draws it out

Lean on Christ

He won’t cause you to doubt

When anger boils

In your brain

It can give in to sin

Then cause you to strain

There’s a better fix

That draws it out

Reach for Christ

He will lift you out

When love is in jeopardy

It’s what’s at stake

It can make your heart cold

That will cause you to break

If you want a new way

That will give you a new start

Trust Christ for change

He will heal your heart

Love is the way

Christ you can know

Enter in at the gate

Thru His Word He will show

Christ is the better fix

He will show you the way

So on the narrow path

You’ll forever get to stay
