Christ Breaks Every Chain

 

You died on the Tree to break every chain

Even the sin of addiction that causes all my pain

 

The freedom from sin that opens up my heart

You died on that cross to give me a new start

 

I once was lost in the world and going to the grave

I heard Your message and knew You came to save

 

It was me that dropped to my knees

You called my name then pulled me from the weeds

 

I confessed all my sin it is You that forgives

You gave me life now forever with You I will live

 

Heavens my home I’m temporarily in this shell

You came to this earth to save me from hell

 

Now when I look in the mirror it’s You I want to see

I’m reminded that it’s You that set me free

 

You washed my feet then sent me out to serve

I read Your Word to help me not to swerve

 

You put me on a mission that helps build my faith

I share Your Gospel it tells how you came to save

 

So if you are lost and broken all’s you do is want to hide

Drop to your knees confess your sin then Jesus lives inside

 

Your heart is where Christ wants to live

A new life is what he wants to give

 

So if you’re asking why Christ had to die

To free us from God’s wrath so we won’t have to die

 

He sent me out to share how He came to give hope

I share God’s message of how He saved me from all the dope

 

I’ve been set from all the guilt and shame

Christ died on the tree so that we can believe His Name

 

So if your lost and all you want to do is die

Believe in Jesus’ Name so you won’t have to believe satans lies

He Called Me By Name

He Called Me By Name

From out of the dark into the light

No longer in fear no longer my plight

I once lived with no hope cover in scars

Locked in a prison chained behind bars

The prison was mostly in my own mind

Out of control the gears started to grind

Billowing smoke from out of my own ears

Grinding and grinding, grinding all the gears

This prison I hosted started with lies

They came from the devil all in disguise

One little lie then two then three

Running amuck chasing after me

I ran, and I ran then I ran to the cross

I found my Savior there He knew I was lost

He extended His hand then called me by name

He taught me how to walk I was no longer lame

I started believing Truth not the old lies

I started believing Jesus not the devil in disguise

The more I believed Jesus the more I found solid ground

The devil can huff and puff, but he can’t blow my house down

I am standing on the promises of my loving God

Who’s love forgives sin and all of my flaws

I gave my life to Jesus, it’s Jesus I serve

Living for Jesus is how I won’t swerve

Free From A Snare

When I was young I had no hope

I often dazed I couldn’t cope

I found a new path but was led astray

Now in the dark I learned to play

As I played without a care

I soon found out I was in a snare

The snare was strung from tree to limb

With eyes half closed this looked so grim

Now in a mess with no way out

I soon began to moan and doubt

My thoughts and doubts were full of fear

I wished somehow someone was near

I heard a voice in the distant air

This was somehow an answered prayer

This voice reached down and grabbed my hand

Then led me to the promise land

At the gate I couldn’t walk in

Because my life was full of sin

This voice explained He was my God

How He loved me even tho I’m flawed

His love will cover all my sin

Then free me from the mess I’m in

He began to tell me how He died

To free me from all satans lies

He proceeded to tell about the cross

How He died to save who’s lost

His plan of salvation is my hope

Free from sin I now can cope

His salvation freed me from my sin

Now in my heart His Spirit lives within

I’m a child of God I am His heir

I am set free from my snare

Living In Obedience

Living In Obedience

God is sovereign, He,s in control

He has a message that all should know

On the tree He paid the price

So we can have victory on this night

He came and walked as a man

Living in obedience to Gods plan

He offers mercy, grace for all

On your life has has placed a call

If you’re sick, broken or lost

Bring all your burdens to the cross

He came to save, be your rescue

He’ll lend a hand by being your refuge

So if your sick and and need a a Savior

Look to Him for more than a warrior

If you want to please almighty God

Live in obedience and forever stand in awe.

Lord I commit my soul to You

It’s thru You love that carries me thru

If I die before I wake

I pray my Lord my soul You take

As You give me Your very best

I know I have to endure the tests

It’s my life I offer You

Help me to not live in eskew

If you give me just one more day

I vow to live and follow Your ways

As I enter into rest tonight

I pray you watch over me this night

I’m learning Father to follow love

Thankful that You’re interceding from above

Your not just Savior, Your my Guide

It’s Your love that runs deep and wide

It’s Your presence I stand in Awe

All because you love me God

A Mountain Called Calvary

A Mountain Called Calvary

 

We know Jesus came from heaven for we’ll see Him face to face

It is His power that he gives us to run this very race

 

It’s all because of mercy, His grace He freely gives

It’s only thru the cross we learn how to live

 

His commands are a guiding force for us to obey

It is His path we walk and learn to not stray

 

His Truth is what frees us from our death and sin

His Spirit is who draws us then comes to live within

 

His grace He freely offers for all who want to partake

It is chains of unforgiveness that He wants to break

 

It’s our heart He wants to change from the inside out

It’s our faith wants to increase so we never have to doubt

 

Jesus is our teacher for He wants us to learn

That grace is a gift that we can never earn

 

Jesus paid the ransom by hanging on the tree

He hung on the mountain called Calvary

Tear Stained Eyes

This is the finished poem from the previous version of Tear Stained Eyes that was posted.

One foot in front and one foot behind
I’m walking the fence going out of my mind
Limb by limb I climb up a tree
It’s out of the darkness that I try to see
But I’m blinded by pain and blinded by scars
It’s a stronghold that has me locked behind bars
I can’t seem to run and can’t seem to hide
I’ve got a fortress built with walls that are high
You want to get in and I try to get out
I have voices in my head that just scream and shout
I sit in the corner with tear stained eyes
Looking for an outcome that’s forward and wise
I hear a message about Christ that opens my ears
It’s His message of love that’s drawing me near
He draws me in close, He draws me from afar
He gives me hope by healing my scars
He gives me His mercy, He gives His grace
He gives me His strength to run in this race
He called me out of darkness and into the light
He encourages me to stand firm in this fight
By His own Word this war has been won
All because of Jesus, God’s only Son

Oh God I need your desire
Lord please help me light this fire
Will You save me

It’s for You I want to live
It’s all my heart I want to give
Will You save me

Oh Lord it’s sin that causes me to die
Please Lord give me one more try
Won’t You save me

Oh God when I am in a bind
Please help me not be left behind
Won’t you save me

Oh God I need rescuing
It’s Your praise I want to sing
You have saved me

Lord it’s Your love I want to share
With people everywhere
You have saved me

The World In Its Disguise

Give me the courage to see through Your eyes
To see the world in its disguise
I look around and what do I see
Crime taking place like a disease
I drive down the road look through the streets
People dealing drugs like they are good treats
As I walk and ponder when I’m looking around
Poverty’s taking hold people sleeping on the ground
There’s a man on the corner with a can in his hand
Begging for spare change from every single man
There’s a gang in the ally shaking people down
Scaring all the people that seem to come around
There are children in houses being abused
Women on the streets being misused
There are wars being fought on every single land
People dying in the streets by evil plans
There’s a church on the corner welcoming people in
Pointing people to the Savior who will cleanse them of their sin
As they open Gods Word that points them to the way
They learn about God’s grace and learn they never have to stray
They learn about Gods mercy and how Christ took their place
How He hung on the cross so they can have Gods grace
They learn about salvation how Christ died to save them of their sins
How the Holy Spirit can come and live within
They learn with Jesus how to live and walk
How they’re actions should line up with their talk
They learn to share the gospel everywhere they go
They learn that being a Christian is not living in a show

Is He Knocking

Is there someone knocking, will you let Him in
He wants to change your heart, change it from within
He’s calling you out of darkness and in to the light
He wants to be your guide and help you in this fight
Christ starts as your Savior, then becomes your Lord
If you don’t believe these words then you should read your Sword
He offers you freedom from the bondage of sin
He offers you refuge from the mess you are in
If you find yourself in denial or find yourself in strife
Christ will offer you a way that will change your life
All you have to do is open the door of your heart
Believe in Jesus’s Name and He’ll give you a fresh new start
Now you are a new creation, you belong to the Way
As long as you lean on Jesus He will help you not to stray
Let us not forget to confess all of our sin
Jesus will forgive us and come live within
Now you are His children washed white as wool
He sent you His Spirit now your heart is full
